TICKETS AND PASSES

Yes, students who use urban and interurban lines may purchase monthly or yearly passes.

Both yearly and monthly passes for interurban lines include integration with urban lines, which permits passengers a full access to urban lines with their interurban passes.

Passengers who regularly travel by APAM may use yearly, monthly, or weekly pass both on urban and interurban lines.

Other tickets valid on urban lines are: one-way ticket A+B (valid for 75 minutes from the first vali-dation), daily ticket (valid for 24 hours from the first validation), a carnet of 10 one-way tickets, and daily family ticket A+B.

Tickets valid on interurban lines are: one-way ticket (for 12 different zones), Inpiù integrated tickets for urban+interurban lines, and carnet of 10 one-way tickets.

There are also Io Viaggio passes for integrated trips: Io viaggio ovunque in Lombardia, Io viaggio ovunque in provincia, Io viaggio ovunque Treno-città, and Io viaggio in famiglia.

You can find a chart of the current fares in buses, or you can get the free fare leaflets at APAM Infopoint in Piazza Cavallotti (Mantova) and at ticket booths. You may also download the fare chart for urban and interurban lines.

All tickets and passes can be purchased at APAM Infopoint in Piazza Cavallotti (Mantova), at Infopoint Mobilità e Turismo in Brescia, and at official ticket booths. You can also purchase one-way tickets on board by paying a charge slightly higher than regular fare.

Online purchase is available for all types of integrated passes and tickets like Io viaggio ovunque in provincia.

MOBILE TICKET

Yes, Mobile Ticket is valid for 75 minutes from the time of purchase and can be used for travelling in A + B zone, exactly like a paper ticket.

A Mobile Ticket costs 1,40 € to which is added the request expense varying from operator to operator.

Just write a text message containing only the word “APAM” and send it to the number 4850201 before boarding. After a few seconds you will receive a text message including the data of your purchase.

You then need to save the text message and keep it until the end of the journey.

In cases of controls onboard you need to show the confirmation SMS you received. In order to be valid, the ticket must be purchased before boarding. (which means that the text message must be received before boarding.)

Certainly yes, the only thing is that the mobile phone has the function of sending and receiving text messages.

Yes, you can buy Mobile Ticket through APAM Mobile, which is the official app of APAM to download for free from Google Play and Apple Store.

The ticket cannot be purchased due to the lack of sufficient credit. Even when the credit on mobile phone is recharged, the ticket cost will not be charged.

Mobile Ticket cannot be purchased due to the blocked access to the Premium Services and the ticket cost will not be charged. It is necessary to contact your operator’s call center in order to activate your access to paid services.

It means that the text you have written in the message is wrong. To purchase a mobile ticket you have to write "APAM" and send it to 4850201. The ticket cost will not be charged.

HOW TO SUBSCRIBE TO A BADGE OR PASS

If you are a new customer, you should first fill out the form which you can get from APAM Infopoint in Piazza Cavallotti (Mantova) or from any APAM Infopoint office in Mantova provinces. After filling out the form you are required to attach your passport photograph and a copy of your identity card to the form (or that of one of your parents if you are underage) and deliver all to one of the offices listed above.

The badge, which costs 5€, will be prepared for your name and is valid for 5 years from the subscription date onward. The badge is mandatory for who wants to get a pass.

If you have a yearly pass, it is enough to carry only your badge with you. But if you have a monthly or weekly pass, you are required to carry with you both your badge and the counterfoil of your pass. And always remember to renew your monthly or weekly pass before it expires.

RULES OF TRANSPORTATION

Inform the driver who is authorized to punch your ticket manually.

Certainly yes: wheel-chaired passengers with disabilities have access to the public transportation through the buses which have the white wheel-chair sticker on the front door of the vehicle. To guarantee that a bus with wheel-chair access is in circulation, we strictly recommend our passengers to make a notice call in advance at 0376 230339.

Children under 1 metre in height are free of charge. In case there are more than one child under 1 metre in height, it is required to buy one ticket per two children.

Transporting baby strollers on board is free of charge but they have to be well-folded.

Yes: It is allowed to transport up to 3 animals per bus.

  • Guide dogs of visually impaired passengers are welcome on board free of charge if they are on a leash. They are also required to wear a muzzle in case of a request made by the driver or other passengers on board. (L..60/2006 - art. 1 - comma 5).
  • Hunting dogs or small dogs (max. 1 per passenger) are allowed on board with a regular one-way ticket and on condition that they are on a leash and with a muzzle.

Guide dogs and small dogs are allowed on board at any hour whereas the transportation of hunting dogs is allowed from the service starting hour to 08.00 and from 20.00 to the service finishing hour.

1 luggage per passenger is free of charge on condition that the size of the luggage is under 50x30x25cm.

Any luggage over this size (50x30x25cm) but under 80x45x25cm and 20kg will be charged with a regular one-way ticket.

Yes, but the fine will be nullified if you present the lacking document within 5 days after the transaction of the fine, upon the charge of 10€ for administrative expenses at following offices:

  • Info Point Mobilità e Turismo (Transportation and Tourism Info Point) of Brescia in Via Solferino 13/a

  • by money transfer to the postal current account n. 10095461;
  • by money order issued for APAM, Via dei Toscani, 3/c Mantova.

If the fee of 10€ for administrative expenses is paid due to a fine issued for not having presented the pass, the receipt of the payment and a copy of the pass shall be faxed to number 0376 230 330.

Yes, an issued fine can be disputed within 60 days after the transaction of proces-verbal or notice of violation by sending an email to customer.care@apam.it or a fax to APAM head office in Via Dei Toscani 3/c.

As procedure, your dispute will be replied with a written statement and in case it is accepted, the fine in question will be automatically nullified.

COMPLAINTS AND WARNINGS

You can contact APAM by sending an email to customer.care@apam.it; by filling out the form on-line; by sending a fax to the number 0376 230 330; by filling out the form you can get from APAM Infopoint in Piazza Cavallotti (Mantova); by calling our Customer Care service at number 0376 230 339 (every day from 7.30 to 19.00).

LOST ITEMS

You should call our Customer Care at number 0376 230 339 (from Monday to Sunday 7.30 – 19.00) and make your claim by indicating the bus line and the time of the loss. The operators check out the claim you have submitted and contact you back if the lost item is found.

At APAM head office in Via dei Toscani, 3/c.

The found items are hold for 1 months at APAM head office. Then they are sent to the Lost&Found Office of the Municipality of Mantova which publishes the official notice of recovery (art. 928 Civil Code).

IO VIAGGIO OVUNQUE IN LOMBARDIA

It is an integrated travel pass valid on all means of public transportation of the Region of Lombardy. They include the following types of tickets and passes:

  • integrated yearly pass (1.027,50€)
  • integrated three-month pass (308€)
  • integrated monthly pass (107€)
  • integrated daily pass: 1 day pass (16,00€), 2 day pass (27,00€), 3 day pass (32,50€), 7 day pass (43,00€). Also integrated yearly pass and integrated three-month pass are available according to the Regional Committee agreement.

It is always necessary to present your pass together with your Io viaggio badge, which you can get from train station ticket booths in the Region of Lombardy. In order to get your badge, you are required to deliver two passport photographs and a copy of your Identity card.

Monthly passes may be purchased also from APAM Infopoint in Piazza Cavallotti (Mantova) and from Infopoint Mobilità e Turismo in Viale della Stazione 47 (Brescia) and also at one of the 80 APAM Infopoint offices that you find in Mantova and its provinces. Tickets do not need to be presented together with the badge but they are required to have the name and surname of the passenger on.

“Io viaggio ovunque in Lombardia” tickets and passes may also be purchased online beforehand.

Monthly passes of “Io viaggio ovunque in Lombardia” may be purchased also at one of the 80 APAM Infopoint offices that you find in Mantova and its provinces.

IO VIAGGIO OVUNQUE IN PROVINCIA

It is an integrated monthly pass which provides you a full access to the means of public transportation of the provinces of Mantova.

The pass costs 81€.

It is always necessary to present your pass together with your Io viaggio badge, which you can get from train station ticket booths in the Region of Lombardy; from APAM Info Ticket Office in Piazza don Leoni (Mantova), or from Infopoint Mobilità e Turismo in Viale della Stazione 47 (Brescia). In order to get your badge, you need to deliver two passport photographs and a copy of your Identity card.

“Io viaggio ovunque in provincia” pass may also be purchased online beforehand.

IO VIAGGIO TRENO-CITTÀ

It is an integrated monthly pass for commuters who use trains and public transportation every day. With the integrated monthly pass you can save 30% on urban pass (on urban lines) and you can travel anywhere only with a single pass.

Remember that the pass must always be presented with your “Io viaggio” badge, which you can get from train station ticket booths or from head offices of the public transport company of the chief town.

With this pass you can take advantage of bonuses for your train trips in case the reliability index of the service does not reach the set level of standards.

The pass is valid on all suburban and regional trains in the Region of Lombardy and on all means of public transportation of the selected city.

IO VIAGGIO IN FAMIGLIA

Children under 14 can travel free of charge if accompanied by a parent or relative of them.

The offer is valid for children under 14 who travel with an adult parent or relative of them (parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, siblings) on condition that the parent or relative owns a valid ticket or pass.

In order to take advantage of the offer, you are required to fill out the form which you can download from at www.apam.it, or get from the following offices: APAM Infopoint in Piazza Cavallotti (Mantova) and Infopoint Mobilità e Turismo in Viale della Stazione 47 (Brescia).

Once the form filled out as required, children who own necessary requisites are allowed to use means of public transportation free of charge. After the request is delivered including a passport photograph and a copy of the identity card of the child, the Io viaggio in famiglia badge will be sent to your postal address free of charge. The badge is made out in the child’s name and includes a list of names of the family members by whom the child may be accompanied free of charge on public transportation in Lombardy. The badge is an optional document that may be asked for in case passengers want to take advantage of the offer several times.

The badge is valid in all public transportation companies in Lombardy.

Pass for more than one Child

If families buy more than one monthly or yearly pass for their children, the second pass is applied with a 20% discount and the third pass onwards is free of charge.

In order to take advantage of the offer, you are required to fill out the form which you can download from at www.apam.it, or get from the following offices: APAM Infopoint in Piazza Cavallotti (Mantova) and Infopoint Mobilità e Turismo in Viale della Stazione 47 (Brescia).

The discount and free of charge options are applied to the passes only if they have the same validity period (monthly or yearly) regardless that they are issued by different public transport companies. The discount and free of charge options are applied starting from the less costly pass: if you buy 2 passes, the 20% discount is applied to the pass that costs less and if you buy 3 passes the free of charge option is again applied to the least costly pass.

The 20% discount is also available on Treno-città passes.

The discount may not be combined with other discounts, hence it may not be applied to the reduced-fare passes for students but only to regular-fare passes.
