TAP TO GO is an innovative payment method that allows you to access urban public transport by paying directly with a contactless credit or debit card.
TAP TO GO is extremely simple to use: just "tap", meaning you hold your contactless credit or debit card near the reader, and you are ready to travel!
The card readers (equipped with payment terminals) are located at the bus entrance; they are green and easily recognizable thanks to colorful instruction stickers.
The service involves no extra fees; it maintains the standard fare (€1.60) and allows you to use public transport for 75 minutes throughout Mantua’s Zone A+B.
TAP TO GO includes the "MULTI-TAP" feature, which allows you to purchase tickets for multiple passengers, up to a maximum of eight.
HOW DOES IT WORK? After the initial tap, and within the next 2 minutes, you can tap your card again for each additional ticket you wish to purchase; the reader's display will show the number of tickets bought.
Once those 2 minutes have passed, and up until the 75-minute validity period of the purchased ticket expires, the "multi-TAP" function will no longer be available.
