TAPTOPAY

TAPTOPAY is the new payment method for interurban bus trips, designed to simplify the purchasing process.

Easily recognizable green electronic devices have been installed on board the buses, allowing for direct payment using a contactless bank card or enabled digital devices (smartphones and smartwatches).

HOW DOES IT WORK?

To use the service, you must:

  • "Tap in" by holding your contactless card or device near the reader when boarding;
  • "Tap out" when getting off.

The system automatically detects your boarding and alighting points and calculates the fare based on the actual distance traveled, applying the charge electronically.

IMPORTANT NOTES

If you fail to "tap out", the system will charge the maximum fare applicable to the route.

It is therefore recommended to correctly complete both validation steps to ensure the correct fare is charged.

The TAPTOPAY system includes the MULTI-TAP feature, allowing you to purchase tickets for multiple passengers, up to a maximum of eight.

HOW DOES IT WORK? After the initial tap, and within the next two minutes, you can tap your card again for each additional ticket required; the validator display will show the number of tickets purchased.

Once the two-minute window has passed, and up until the 75th minute of the purchased ticket's validity, the "multi-TAP" function will no longer be available.
